A Boston Team Won??

Holy crap The Red Sox won the World Series!! For some reason though I have this impending sense of doom that many New Englanders get whenever one of our teams wins big. Probably because it doesn’t really happen any more.

Last night as I was watching the end of the game and it became apparent the Red Sox were going to win I recalled something my nephew had said when he was about 9 or 10 years old (he’s 20 now). We were talking baseball and specifically about the Sox and he made this observation about their championship potential:

“The Red Sox will win the World Series when donkeys fly off my butt.”

Well A prepare yourself, those donkeys should be taking flight any time now.

    I knew they’d win, we’ve been watching the series here in nz on espn and my brother in law who is from NY said he was hoping they’d win. Take a photo of those flying donkeys will ya? lol

    Good morning Julie, It’s always nice to hear from you. I’m waiting for my 2 year old grandbaby to arrive. I’m taking her “Trick or Treating” this afternoon at the nursing home where my mom resides. A baby brings so much joy to everyone..have a nice weekend!
