Bedtime with the Girls

My 3 year old always gives us a hard time when we put her to bed. She’s out of bed many times before she finally gives up for the night. She has every excuse in the book for getting up and each and every time we put her right back in bed with a firm “It is bedtime. Stop getting out of your bed.”

Last night was no exception - just as challenging as any other. The hubs and I were both at the end of our collective ropes dealing with her. Her older sister was no help either (all 3 girls share a room) chattering away and keeping the other girls awake. The hubs finally stormed in there and used that bellowing Daddy voice first to Elizabeth and then to her older sister. As he was leaving the room Lauren, our youngest and the only one not to get reprimanded, said

“I a good girl Daddy.”

Jeff paused outside the door with a little smile on his face

“Yes you are Lauren. Good night.”
