Christmas in…August?

My neighbor has Christmas decorations on her front lawn and Christmas lights hanging from her house. We could see the lights last night and had to wonder what was going on and then we realized - her son is headed back to Iraq. He won’t be home for Christmas so his family is celebrating now - before he leaves. That breaks my heart.

    oh yeah, that is definitely sad, however her son is serving your country and it’s a blessing he’s alive and able to celebrate with them, that’s a gift in itself I reckon…
