O’Connor Forecasts Dictatorship

I would imagine that many of you have already heard about this and if not, do you wonder why? A retired Supreme Court Justice, appointed by a Republican, is cautioning that our conservative, right wing country is showing early signs of dictatorship. And none of the major networks carried this story? It’s outrageous. And not uncommon - and no one seems to care.

Where has our passion gone as a nation? We are torturing prisoners of war, spying on our own citizens, warring in a country we have no business being in any more and under false pretense no less and Americans don’t say anything. No one objects, no one protests. Why don’t we care what kind of a country we will be handing over to our children? And why aren’t we as a nation better preparing our children to take over this country?

Do we really believe that just because these things aren’t happening to us personally that it’s no big deal? Where does it stop? It won’t. That’s the scariest part.
