It is such a rainy, dreary day here today. We had a couple of thunderstorms rumble through early this morning and it’s been raining off and on for the rest of the time. No outside play today What a bummer for the kids.

I had just gotten the kids settled down at nap time today when there was a knock on the door. No one ever comes by the house during the day like that and the daycare parents don’t knock they just come in. So the dog starts barking (ugh! - so much for sleeping kids) and I open the door and it’s a lady from Schwan’s. I do want to order from them but just don’t come by the house now! Don’t they understand the importance of afternoon nap?? For me as well as the kids?? LOL Made me think of a daycare provider I know that has a sign next to her door that reads “SLEEPING CHILDREN INSIDE. YOU WAKE THEM YOU TAKE THEM.” How funny is that?

Going to try and work some on cleaning out the house tonight and plan on working all day tomorrow and again on Sunday. Not a fun way to spend the weekend but the end result will feel so good. There are entirely too many people in my house for any clutter to reside.

Well here’s my Friday Five (and these are tough ones today):

1. When was the last time you cheated?
The last time I remember cheating was in 11th grade Social Studies. We had a teacher that used to take naps during tests and the entire class used to share answers.

2. When was the last time you stole?
I remember taking candy from a store when I was a little kid and my cousin marched me right back in the store and tell the person that I had taken it and then made me give them the money for it. I was so humiliated. I have never taken anything since then. I have been deathly afraid of being caught.

3. When was the last time you lied?
To my dh about paying a bill that I had forgotten to pay. That was probably a couple of weeks ago. “of course I paid it” and then put the check in the mail the next day.

4. When was the last time you broke or vandalized another’s property?
I have never done anything like this on purpose.

5. When was the last time you hurt a loved one?
Probably a few months ago. I tend to fight dirty when dh and I are arguing. I have been working very hard over the years to stop this but it is a deeply engrained behavior. My mother used to be this way when I was growing up and I learned to be pretty good at fighting back.

Well I feel a little exposed now answering those as honestly as I could.
