Wow, I can’t believe it’s Friday and this week is gone already. It sure has been a rough one. I’ve had the one child here all week long, the one that lost their grandmother, and it’s not been an easy time. The poor child’s schedule is all out of whack, not seeing much of mom and dad, and being here a lot more hours than normal. I’ve just been trying to be more patient and give out a lot more hugs than usual.
On top of that I have another child whose parents just split up and it was not an amicable separation. It was a rather nasty one that involved family court, a restraining order and the police. Seems there is a lot of turmoil in my families lately. I feel so bad for these little ones - they become like a part of my family.
Well we have a busy weekend ahead of us. Jeff’s going to be working diligently on his boat all weekend trying to get all of his modifications done in time for the big fishing derby Fathers Day Weekend. We have 2 birthday parties to go to on Saturday afternoon (and we still haven’t bought presents!!) and then my best friend is coming over for a visit on Sunday. *phew* Its not even going to feel like any time off. LOL
Oh I thought some people might get a kick out this, especially those that have large families and know what it’s like to have a lot of kids in the house. My mother called at 10:30am this morning, now mind you I run a daycare, and said that it was awfully loud couldn’t I tell those kids to be quiet for a minute so that she could tell me something? ROFL!! Can you tell I was an only child? There were my 3 girls plus 4 boys ages 2 & 3. Know what was so important for her to tell me? That my father wants a new coffeemaker for his birthday at the end of July! This woman is so whacked sometimes, I swear. LOL Oh well…
Until next time…
