I love Irish Blessings and Sayings. Some are so true, some so funny. I thought I would share a few of my favorites today.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

May you be in
Heaven a half hour before the
Devil knows you’re dead!

This one isn’t a blessing so much as a saying but I do subscribe to the philosophy ;)

There are many good reasons for drinking,
One has just entered my head.
If a man doesn’t drink when he’s living,
How in hell can he drink when he’s dead?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day my friends! Remember even if you aren’t really Irish, everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.
