Happy Weekend

September 20, 2003 |

Well Isabel passed through here yesterday but didn’t do nearly as much as anticipated. She weakened quite a bit before she got here. We had a lot of wind in the 30 mph range and some tree limbs and lots of leaves came down but that was it, really. Of course it will hurt our foliage season here as so many of the leaves came down yesterday. Hopefully we’ll still have many brilliant colors in the weeks to come.

My parents are coming for a visit today. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen them so this will be good. One of the things I love so is how much effort they make to see us as often as they can. They live 3 hours away and come down to visit at least twice a month. My mil lives 45 minutes away and hasn’t seen the kids since July. She just can’t be bothered :(

Well I’m off to clean the house before Mom & Dad get here. Enjoy the weekend everyone. Get outside and enjoy Autumn - it’s upon us :)

    Happy to hear that you didn’t have too much damage from the storm. It leaves so much mess in it’s path. Enjoy the day with your parents. Hugs!

    It’s so sad when grandparents don’t make a point to visit their grandchildren. These little ones don’t stay little for long - I’m sure your inlaws don’t know what they’re missing!
