*sniff, sniff* I just dropped my son off at school and he will be gone until Thursday night on a field trip. WAHHH!! I am going to worry about him and miss him so much. He hasn’t been gone like this ever before. Sure he spends the night at friends’ houses, he is 10 after all. But 3 days? Oh lord what am I going to do next year when they go for a week?

It started yesterday with the massive laundry that ALL had to be done so he could pick out 3 outfits to bring with him. 3! I had to do 5 loads of laundry so he could pick out 6 articles of clothing plus socks and stuff! Laundry is one of my most dreaded chores. I hate it. I’d rather keep buying new stuff than have to wash, dry, fold and put away all the laundry for 6 people. Nick’s just lucky I love him. lol

Then trying to get him packed? Good god, I swear the house just went crazy last night. The girls were screaming and running around everywhere, my stepdaughter showed up with her 18 month old son and I couldn’t even hear myself think let alone help Nick. I was afraid if we tried we would be interrupted so many times we would forget everything. Finally sd left with her son and I wrestled the girls into bed. Then Nick and I got his packing list that had been sent home and we went to work. We got the “chosen” 3 outfits packed; toiletries all carefully put in their respective Ziploc bags and then came the important stuff.
