I Know, I Know

January 27, 2004 |

I know it’s been entirely too long since I have posted an entry. Sorry to anyone that still even bothers to come look. LOL I have been out of the blog circle for a little while now getting overwhelmed with my life as always. But I always seem to come back.

So let’s see what’s been going on. On the Ashleigh front, she called my dh last week and asked to borrow $100. Even though the fiancé is supposedly making $3000 a month and they are rolling in money they need to borrow $100. Hmm… Not adding up you say? Well, you’re right. Mr. Milktoast (my mothers name for a spineless wimp), that would be my dh, said “We don’t have it right now but we will when we get the tax return back.” Um, excuse me? No we won’t. I’m not going to sit back and watch her bleed us dry again and then crush Jeff by stealing from him and disappearing again. We may not have been perfect but we were far better than she treats us, for sure.

Enough about her. Olivia turned 4 years old on Friday and had a wonderful day with all her little daycare friends her wishing her Happy Birthday all day long. We had a “Make you own ice cream sundae” party for her during the day and then we had McDonalds and cake and ice cream and presents Friday night. We got her a toy shopping cart that has a hand held scanner. Very fun. We also have a tradition of taking the kids to Toys R Us and letting them spend the balance of their birthday budget on a little shopping spree. So Saturday Olivia and I headed out to see Geoffrey and spend her cash. She was a very smart shopper and came home with 3 items for her $25 and hasn’t stopped playing with any of them. She bought a squishy Sponge Bob, a pet carrier with a little dog and all of his necessary accessories and she bought a broom and dustpan - this one is her favorite. I cannot tell you how many times we went around that store and I picked things up, carried them and then put them back. She had a great time though and that’s all that mattered

No school yesterday due to the continuing cold which meant that I had 3 school age kids in addition to the 7 I normally have. Lucky me!! Jeff was off from work so that meant even more kids to look after. “Cause God knows it would kill him to lift a finger and help. LOL

Well I have to get going. Want to hop to some blogs and see how everyone’s doing. Have a wonderful day guys!!!
