Menu Plan Monday - 3/26/07
Sometimes I think a weekend sans a couple of family members is somehow more difficult than when everyone is home. My husband took our two oldest up to our family camp and helped my father with maple sugaring this weekend. The sap isn’t running too well yet but they did manage to eek out a couple of gallons. So I was at home with the 5 year old and 4 year old and feel like I didn’t stop for one minute ALL.WEEKEND.LONG. It doesn’t help that I can’t sleep when my husband isn’t here so I’ve been running on empty for a few days. And I stayed up too late watching Gordon Ramsay’s F Word. This is the first time I’d seen this show and I loved it. Loved it!
My Menu for the week thus far, such as it is:
Monday - Venison tenderloin and a couple of miscellaneous steaks. The husband brought home some food from camp that had thawed and needs to be eaten ASAP. Probably garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli will round out the meal.
Tuesday - Math Night at my children’s school. They are providing pizza and salad to entice more families to attend.
Wednesday - Scalloped potato and ham casserole. An easy dish that my children will eat too. Always a winner.
Thursday - Stuffed sole (courtesy of Omaha Steaks - they’re actually pretty good), long grain and wild rice and asparagus.
Friday - Haddock, twice baked potatoes and tossed salad.
So how about you? What’s on your menu this week? If you’re interested in joining Menu Plan Monday just head over to Laura’s site, download the image, post your menu and make sure you add your site to her Mr. Linky at the bottom of her post.

Sounds very tasty! Great menu.

I agree wiht you, but now that my two are older, the only thing is I have to drive them places a little bit more than usual. Otherwise a weekend with 1 or 2 away is much better for me.

We have those Omaha stuffed soles in our freezer now and I’ve been afraid to make them. Every year we get them as a gift and every year I end up giving them away. I’ll have to try them this weekend.
Blessings~

Wow! So I’m not alone, in the fact, that I also cannot sleep when my husband isn’t home.
RonaSo what do you do on Math night? Do they provide you with math problems? I’ve actually never heard of it.
Have a great week.

Hi - new to MPM and just browsing. Your menu looks scrumptious! I love venison tenderloin. We had some for breakfast over the weekend. I have a recipe for potato and ham casserole (maybe the same one?) and it looks yummy, but I haven’t tried it yet. I think I’d like eating at your house!
