Menu Plan Monday - 4/2/07
Busy weekend once again. Are they ever quiet? We had family over on Saturday night and menu planning really helped with these last minute guests. I keep a list of all potential meals that I have ingredients for on a dry erase board in my kitchen next to the family calendar. In a pinch I can look at that board to see what we have on hand. It’s a snap to throw together an unplanned meal. I then choose from what’s left on the list to make a menu for the week.
Here’s what I have thus far:
Monday - Grilled chicken atop tossed salad. This is a family favorite and if the weather cooperates we’ll grill outside otherwise I’ll pull out the Foreman.
Tuesday - Cheeseburgers and homemade waffle fries.
Wednesday - Quiche Lorraine and tossed salad. Real men do eat quiche - just ask my husband.
Thursday - Stuffed sole (courtesy of Omaha Steaks - they’re actually pretty good), long grain and wild rice and asparagus. We didn’t have this last week so I moved it to this week.
Friday - Country Fried Pork Chops served in a mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.
So how about you? What’s on your menu this week? If you’re interested in joining Menu Plan Monday just head over to Laura’s site, download the image, post your menu and make sure you add your site to her Mr. Linky at the bottom of her post.

Oh, that sounds soooo delicious…you don’t mind if I drop by for dinner tonight, do you? LOL

Been reading at the monday menu thing…wow. I love that. I do weekly menus…I just went through 19 meals…have 4 (or is it 5) left…anywho, saves money to do it that way and we eat leftovers for lunch usually. Anywho, how did the job interview go? Hope everything works out for you! Hugs hon!

What a great idea. I should get organized and try that.
I loved that stuffed sole from Omaha Steaks. We have them fairly often.
We’re having salmon tonight, with fresh veggies, and that’s as far as my meal planning has gone.
