Wow! What a beautiful weekend it was. It was sunny and in the 70’s, no humidity to speak of, my favorite kind of weather. I wish it could be that way year round.
My Mom and Dad came down on Saturday to celebrate my “2nd birthday”. I’m adopted and they not only celebrate my birthday every year but they also celebrate the day they took me home. Makes me feel pretty special
I did not enjoy the cake they brought though seeing as how I’m trying to lose weight but I didn’t want to cause trouble either so I just ate a small piece and kept my mouth shut. LOL My mom gave me a beautiful glass pitcher and glass set. It’s super heavy and thick glass. Should hold up very nicely.
The kids are all very crabby today. They must have had very busy weekends. Every one of them is asleep including my nap time problem child. LOL
I was very saddened to see that Darylynn’s daughter is having a tough time finding a teaching job because she has too much education. I can’t understand the logistics behind hiring someone less qualified, giving the kids less of a quality education all to save a few bucks. And the most irritating part? Those extra bucks are frivolously spent, in Vermont anyway, on extravagent, unnecessary, cosmetic, asthetic remodeling jobs. My husband works on school job sites all the time and to quote him “They just piss money away on things that “look nice” but serve no function yet we have some of the lowest paid teachers in the country.” Where does the actual education the children receive fall in the list of priorities?? At the bottom?? It angers me to no end.
Okay, I’m down off my soapbox for now. LOL Have a wonderful day everyone.
Until next time…

hi hon
oh school systems are just wonderful aint they..they piddle away the dollars for "useless" stuff here too
that is so sweet that your folks celebrate both days! i say you deserved the small splurge on the cake, even tho it makes willpower weaker (least it does for me lol)
hope you had a wonderful birthday hon! huggs
Hi Julie!
How fun that you get to celebrate TWO birthdays!! *Ü*
I think all schools piddle away money on useless things. Our schools had to make HUGE cuts this year due to the state not providing money.
