My New Look

January 4, 2004 |

Good Sunday afternoon friends. As you can well see once you’ve arrived here I have changed the look of Julie’s Journal. I know it’s a bit drastic considering what I normally use here with country graphics but I was ready for a change. I wanted something a little sleeker, more minimalist that focused on the important stuff.

There are a number of good sites out there that have these great templates available that incorporate some incredible photography or simply just some graphics. If you surf around some of the blogs set up with these they have a contemporary feel that I really like.

To be honest there also isn’t a lot left to choose from in the Country Graphics community anymore due to all of the trouble going on. Sites are closing left and right. I’m not shutting out the Country Graphics community at all just exploring a new side of me. Hopefully the layout and graphics have little to do with why people come and visit. I hope it’s more about content

We are having a nice relaxing weekend trying to tie up some loose ends from Christmas. The remainder of the decorations are down and the house is put back in to order. On the list for today are the children’s rooms. All of the new toys have been stacked in a corner but we have yet to find homes for them. I have to do the grocery shopping first (my favorite job - NOT) and then we shall tackle the dungeons.

Olivia has me roped into a rousing game of Candyland and then some baking in the EZ Bake later this afternoon so I’d better get in the shower and get going. Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Very nice Julie, I like it!! I’ve always like the more simplified look in a journal although the country graphics are so pretty!! You did a great job!! I love it! ~hugs~

Hi Julie!! I like the look of your blog!! You did a great job!!
Enjoy your evening and have fun playing with the kiddos!!
Oh!! We got a new chair today while furniture shopping!! We cannot afford the really nice stuff either, but we found something that works. It is just a little blue recliner. The chair we had before was broken, so we really needed this.
Have a nice week!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
