Update: Granville Man Sought for Wife’s Murder
Woman Found Dead; Manhunt for Husband
So imagine how it would feel to be at work, 30 miles away from your home and you get a phone call from your babysitter.
“There are police at the NY/VT border and they’re pulling everyone over and searching their cars. They have high powered rifles - every one of them. Holy shit Jules!”
“What do you mean? What did they say? Why are you there?”
“They said to watch the 6pm news and that would explain everything. I was on my way to bring Elizabeth from my house to preschool and we got stopped.”
I knew she was bringing the kids to her house this morning - not a big deal. I didn’t even think about that when she said where she was because I am so far away and feeling so helpless right now. The girls I work with and I made some phone calls and found out a man allegedly shot and killed his wife in the town right across the border from my town and he is still at large. I am trying so hard not to freak out but my house is empty and my children are getting out of school in a couple of hours and it happened SO CLOSE to us. Not that I could do anything if I was home but…… I don’t like it at all.
Our sitter is going to keep my youngest at her house in another town farther away until school lets out and then she’ll meet my oldest 2 at the bust stop. That helps some. Why do people do these things? I don’t understand.
I’ll post the link to the story later when it comes out. Life in the country just isn’t what it used to be.

omg… no wonder your worried. I’m sure everything will be fine. *hugs*
(this feels like the most pointless commment ever, but I wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you and the kids.)
Thanks Autumn. I feel like the post was pointless too in that sense. I just needed to get that anxiety out.
I hope things went well - Please let us know.
I guess bad things happen everywhere.
