Snow Is Falling
January 28, 2004 |
It’s been snowing pretty steady since last night and we have about 6 inches of snow so far. They say we will have about a foot of the white stuff by the time it’s all over. The best part about it for me? It has to warm up in order to snow. I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again today; I’ll take snow over -32 degrees any day. LOL
I’ve been stressed out and overwhelmed the last few days mostly about money. I had a daycare family not pay me on Friday like they were supposed to and to date they still have not paid me. They owe me almost $300 now with late payment fees added in. I add $5 a day after the day the money is due as a late payment fee ’cause I need my paycheck on Friday just like everyone else. How would these people feel if they went to work and their boss didn’t have their paycheck because other bills had to be paid and they would just get them their pay when they could?
This family has been with me for 3 years and it just really sucks. I know I’ll get the money eventually but that’s not the point. I need to make my car payment now, and I can’t. If they don’t have the money why don’t they just tell me instead of ducking me? I would be more than happy to make payment arrangements because the bottom line is I just want the money and taking over the next few weeks is better than not getting any at all and having to go to small claims court and wait forever to get the money. I can’t even pay the plow guy until Friday when my husband gets paid.
Well enough of my whining. I need to go do something productive. Like call their house every 15 minutes…..LOL I’m JK, maybe……..

Sorry about that family not paying you… That would not make me happy either. I admire you for being able to do day care though. I tried it once, and I hated it!!! LOL! I loved babysitting before I had kids, but not now. One summer (in 2002) I was watching 3 kids (besides my three) and the 6 year old was always arguing with me, because he didn’t like my rules, and thought I wasn’t fair to enforce them. And the 18 month old could scream for 2+ hours straight… No kidding…. He would refuse to eat for me, threw fits over diaper changes, and scrreamed over everything else… I just couldn’t do it! LOL!
Well, no more whining from me either! LOL!

UGH! That pisses me off when I hear about this kind of thing. Its my opinion that day care is the most worthwile bill you can pay, there’s nothing more important than a quailty day care provider for your kids, yet people think its ok to skip out on what they owe or complain about how much they’re spending.
I hope you get the money soon!!
hi hon,
