Social Skills

Olivia is enrolled in “KinderCamp” this week and next. It is a couple of hours every morning and it is designed to give them a glimpse of what Kindergarten will be like when they start in the fall. She seems to be enjoying it and has lots to tell about her activities she does in the classroom each day. I’ve noticed however, that she doesn’t talk much about the other kids. So yesterday when we were driving home I asked her if she had made any friends to which she replied

“Not really”.

“Do you talk to anyone?”

“Well there is this one boy I talked to.”

“Oh yeah? What did you guys talk about?”

“Well…he ran towards me on the playground and I yelled BUZZ OFF!!”

*Sigh* My little social butterfly.

    Sounds like one of mine used to be. Give her time, and she will indeed be a little social butterfly!

    Eewwwe! That is nasty!
    Let your kids ride in there, just bring some antibacterial wipes and have “a car wash” first.
