Summertime…

Since Memorial Day Weekend usually signifies the beginning of summer I thought I would change my blog theme. I love the watercolor header with the lemons mixed in - there are some good templates over at Lilac Pixels for you Wordpress users.

We had to go to a dedication ceremony this morning for our new Town Hall. Until this year the town offices were housed in the corner of a general store. At one time the Town Clerk kept all the town records in her garage. So we (the taxpayers) finally came out of the dark ages and approved a $350,000 price tag for a new building. After 4 months it’s ready to open. The Governor was there for the ribbon cutting and the 5th and 6th grade classes sang the National Anthem. Good times.

My parents stopped in on their way home from my grandfather’s grave site. They only stayed for about an hour and a half. My Mom seems to get tired pretty easily these days. That’s the extent of my day. Jeff’s working over at his Mom’s house on that !@#$%^ floor and the kids and I are here. I swear we’re probably the only ones not camping or boating this weekend. *sigh*

    Hey Jules, it looks great around here!!! I love it! Dont feel bad, your not the only one not doing anything fun, we arent either. The hubs has to work a 48 hour shift, so it is just me, the kids and the animals around here. Come on over, we can feel sorry for ourselves together! ;)

    My daughter claims WE’RE the ONLY ones not “doing something” this weekend. Funny, I thought three days off from work, hanging out, enjoying the house and yard … I thought THAT WAS doing something… but then, I’m not 13.
