TGIF!

He’s home. My Nick is home. Jeff actually trumped me on getting in the shower last night so he went to get Nick instead of me. I was bummed! But the important thing is he’s home. He had a fantastic trip - they spent 3 days touring the museums around the state with a stop at the Ben & Jerry’s factory worked into the itinerary as well as Vermont Teddy Bear. He’s tired but he had a great time.

I have a hell of a day ahead of me. My step-grandson is due to arrive here any minute - it’s 5:30am. He’s going to be here all day and then I have another child here from 6:15am-7:15am, just needing a place to stay before school. I have another one coming from 7am-3pm. And then when noon rolls around - 1 more preschooler arrives and 5 kids will be getting off the bus early and spending the afternoon here. The worst part is that I’m already fried this morning - I’m exhausted and have a headache. But they will all be gone by 6pm.

And then the best part *looking around to make sure no one is reading over my shoulder* my husband is going to camp for the weekend. Woohoo! I know, I know. I do love my husband but sometimes I just need a couple days off. You know? And to be honest things just run smoother around here and I don’t have to fight over the remote. LOL Frankly he’s been a little PMSy lately and I could just use the break. I’m going to need it after today. Send me strength!

Stopping by to say hello! Reading about your “envelope system” brought tears to my eyes as my mom and dad from the time they were married used the envelope system. My dad died two years ago at age 92 and my mom will be 90 in November…lives in a nursing home near my sister is Atlanta. It worked for them so I am sure it will work for you! Hugs!
