:cldsun: Well it looks like I can put off building my ark for a bit. The rain has actually stopped for the day and I have seen a few patches of blue sky. Of course do you think I can get the lawn mowed? No of course not, because Jeff decided to wait until last night to dig the mower out of the garage and discover that the starter needs to be replaced. *sigh* So now today I get the daunting task of trying to find someone to mow the lawn on the first somewhat sunny day we’ve had in weeks. I’m going to pay out the nose for this one for sure.

The worst part is that Jeff’s sister and her family are coming up this afternoon and my yard looks like shit. I know they’re not coming to see the grass but you know how you want everything to look good especially when family comes? I’m just getting a little sick of counting on Jeff to take care of things around the house and constantly getting let down.

We haven’t seen Jeff’s sister and her family in about 4 years. They live in Missouri and we live in Vermont, so driving over for Sunday dinner is kind of tough. They’re only going to be here overnight as her hubby is in a wedding this weekend and has to head to NY tomorrow for the rehearsal and then the wedding on Saturday. They haven’t even met my 2 youngest children, only seen pictures.

I closed daycare tomorrow so we could all sleep off the hangovers, sil likes to party and I intend to join her for a few after the kids are in bed tonight. It’s been entirely too long since I let loose a little
