The Snows Are On Their Way
December 5, 2003 |
You would think that no one has seen snow in New England before the way everybody’s getting so worked up today. There is a storm down South that is tracking North and if it hits us tomorrow, and it is supposed to, then we will get 6-10″ of snow. This is New England people we get snowstorms that dump 3 feet on us every year!! LOL
As a lot of you know I schedule mystery shops part time and you should see the flood of emails coming in today. Many of the shoppers are in a tizzy as to what they are supposed to do about their shops since it is going to snow. Huh? They have from tonight (it won’t be snowing yet) until Sunday night (it won’t be snowing anymore) but the panic has ensued. This is why I love the saying “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail”. With a little planning around the heaviest of the snow people will have no problem getting these shops done. Someone just needs to hold their hand and tell them it’s okay
Lauren is getting worse instead of better. Her fever is right up there and she has this horrible choking, gagging cough that sounds almost like she’s drowning in her own phlegm. Sorry for the graphic description but it’s just awful, the poor baby. A little boy in one of my daycare families has also tested positive for influenza. I didn’t even know there was an actual test (show’s you how often I go to the doctor). Since it took them so long to diagnose him apparently they can’t give him any medicine. I guess it has to be administered within the first 48 hours after symptoms appear. So hopefully he will get better very soon!! I guess flu season will be especially bad this year.
Well the kids will be waking up from nap soon. I guess I had better go get snack together. We’re baking brownies today
Until next time…

Your weather pixie looks so cold this morning! We are cold here too! Poor little Lauren, hope you can get her well. Hugs!
Oh Julie I do pray for your baby. Yes the flu is terrible this year, almost epidemic proportion in Oklahoma. I had a flu shot, but hubby didn’t. I pray he stays well. I am going to see if work will sell me an extra shot to give him. I hope so. Ummm the hot chocolate was so delicious!! Thank you and thank the children for me. *smiles*. I love hot chocolate in the winter time. my favorite drink! Praying Lauren is better soon! ~hugs~
