Boy am I ready for a nap already today :) I totally cleaned out Nick’s room in 2 one hour chunks. 3 garbage bags and as many trips out to the dumpster later and we were done. Now he can finally hang out in there again. It was a disaster. Every inch of every surface in that room was covered. He just doesn’t know what to do when it gets to that point and I intend to do everything I can to help him keep it from getting that way ever again.

Poor Nick was supposed to go to a local amusement park with his grandmother today but it was pouring rain. The rain has stopped but the clouds are still pretty dark out there. She is supposed to come pick him up this afternoon sometime so he can spend the night and they can go tomorrow.

My BIL and his wife are up visiting but they are mad at us because we don’t come down to visit enough nor do we call enough. So they showed us - they came to VT From NH and they didn’t tell us they were going to be in the area. They are so petty and juvenile and I am just sick of it. They never invite us but they are mad that we don’t call and invite ourselves down for the weekend - they live 3 hours away. I was raised that you do not ever invite yourself anywhere. If you have not been invited then you are not wanted - that’s what my mother taught me. She also taught me why you don’t do that is because if the other party is not up to company you have put them in an awkward position that makes it difficult to say no even if they want to. I have invited them up a number of times over the last few years only to be blown off with one excuse or another. I specifically asked my SIL to come up this summer to meet her new niece and she said “we’ll see” and then she came to the area without even telling us or intending to visit? But we’re the ones in the wrong? Some days I just hate people :(

Well I have an interview this afternoon for a school age child starting in September that I need to prepare for.

    Hi Julie, I had to laugh as I was reading your blog today. Last Sunday, I went into Brandon’s room, it took a couple of hours and tons of garbage bags later to get it all cleaned up too. . . I’m with you, doing everything I can to make sure it doesn’t get in that state again. Mind you my view is that everytime we throw out so much, before long there won’t be anything left in there to make a mess with. . lol. Have a fantastic weekend!! *hugs*
