Wow it’s hot! My weatherpixie there hasn’t got a clue! LOL It is currently 97 degrees F in the shade and they say the heat index today is supposed to make it feel like 104. This is VT! It’s supposed to be cold and snowy! Ha!! Not in the summer. It is so humid you can almost see the air.
I’m sorry for not being around much. My hand hurts a lot now when I am typing and being on the computer is just not enjoyable anymore mostly for that reason alone. It’s also summer and we are outside a LOT more. I also have a child that comes here that has become super difficult and even though Jeff says I should let the family go I just can’t.
This is the child that I have mentioned before that unfortunately has to live with domestic violence at home. The one whose father was removed by the police and the mother got a restraining order. These parents are back together (they were after one week) and the child has been out of control. Angry, angry, angry and I know why. This child’s life settled down for a few days and was happier and more normal and now it’s back to the way it was. The parents are actually asking me if I think the problems with their child stem from a growth spurt or the repeated ear infections since last fall. Excuse me?????? This child watched their father be removed from the home by the police and the behavioral problems are from a growth spurt?? Can anyone really be that heavily in denial??
Then the other day the father tried to tell me that this child was falling asleep in the truck on the way home each night and it was interfering with bedtime at a normal hour so maybe that’s why all the problems since the child is now overtired with the insinuation that it’s happening because of not taking a nap at my house? So it’s my fault? So I explained that the reason the child wasn’t taking a nap was because their child was too busy trying to hit the sleeping children, kick my furniture, throw toys at other kids etc… to which the father replies “Oh.” People amaze me sometimes.
Anyway, Olivia had a wonderful time on her fishing trip even though “Nicholas caught one fish and I caught zero” she told me when she got home. She will be sure to go again she loved it that much. Jeff said she wasn’t squeamish at all. She touched the worms and touched the fish that Nick caught and splashed around in the *gulp* river. Makes me so nervous but I’m glad she had fun. You can click here to see a picture of the kids. You’ll notice Nick is helping Olivia untangle her line. LOL
Well I should go. There’s lots more to tell but I really can’t type anymore right now.
Until next time…

Just look at those lil’ cutie patooties! Olivia is "hooked"… or maybe it’s Nick that’s hooked! *hee hee*
That’s so sad about the little kid you babysit. It’s a shame how ignorant some parents can be!
*Love* the fishing picture!
And how frustrating for you with those parents. It is just beyond me sometimes when people can’t see what is right in front of their faces. ~ sigh ~

Have a very happy and safe 4th of July!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
