Well It’s another gloomy, rainy day. I swear this whole summer has been a wash. On the flip side my grass is the greenest it has ever been in the summer without watering it.

Well the stepdaughter saga continues. She admitted to taking Nick’s money, apologized to him and paid him pack plus $5. Jeff told her that he was really disappointed in her and that nothing else was to be taken - period. If she’s short on money she needs to ask someone for some not just help herself. She agreed and then took off and wasn’t seen again that night. I had appointments all day long yesterday and I locked the house up tight when I left. One of my favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou “When someone shows you their true self, believe them.” This has always been hard for me as I just keep giving people chances when I know better. Not this time. I will not let her rob us blind.

It probably won’t be an issue anymore anyway as she has her own apartment now. She found one and had until 5pm yesterday to get first and security to the guy and Jeff said to go ahead and give it to her as that was his offer to her in the first place. There is no sign of the boyfriend so maybe he really is out of the picture. We set up a repayment schedule with her, put it on paper and made her sign it. Maybe she will take it a little more seriously this way. She needs to realize that with 4 young children to support we do not have money just lying around. We work hard to save it and we have just been set way back on our savings by helping her.

On a lighter note my little Elizabeth got her first haircut yesterday and she just looks adorable. Here’s a picture of her before:

Quite an improvement don’t you think? Well I have to go get Nick ready for camp. Have a wonderful day everyone!!

    I can’t believe that your step-daughter stole from your son! SHEESH!! At least she paid him back… with interest!
