Weekend Recap

:sun3-ani: Phew! This is the first chance I have had to sit down and write since Friday. We had a busy weekend but well worth it.

On Saturday my parents came down for a visit in the afternoon. They brought a little cake, a card and a present for me for my Second Birthday. Those of you that have known me for at least a year might remember that they do this. I am adopted and my parents not only celebrate my birthday in July but my adoption day, or second birthday as they like to call it, in August. So I luck out in my childrens eyes, I get an extra day of presents ;)

Then on Sunday we had our first nice, sunny day of the summer, well maybe not the entire summer but sometimes it seems like we should be working on our ark, just to be safe. We decided to take advantage of the weather, loaded the kids into the van and took them to The Great Escape, our local Six Flags. The place was packed but we had an excellent time. Ride lines moved quickly, my son and I got our roller coaster fix, we all went and played in the wave pool at the water park and had a fantastic time. We left the house at 9:00am and didn’t get home until 7:30pm. Excellent!

The kids were so well behaved. I can’t tell you how proud I am of my children and yes I know I’m biased, but they were all happy and cooperative and polite and respectful. They may act like maniacs at home sometimes but they sure know how to behave in public. It makes days like Sunday so worth it, to have them say thank you to us and make it such an enjoyable day. Maybe we’re doing something right after all :hehe:

    My kids have started saying thank you when we manage to take them out to do ‘fun stuff’ I’m thinking I like it ;)
