We’re Buying a Van
November 15, 2003 |
The sun is shining bright this morning but it looks very cold out there. We have been having some heavy winds and very cold temperatures the last few days. Winter is here
At my parents house Thursday they got a foot of snow, they only live a couple of hours north of us. Yikes!!
Last weekend our friend finally came over and he and Jeff put in the chimney liner. We have wood heat again!!! Yeah!! Our woodstove is an old Vermont Castings Defiant, for those that know about woodstoves, and it is the largest one they ever made and it heats our entire house. Since I am here every day to keep it running we only go through a few hundred dollars of heating oil a year. It makes such a huge difference. My Dad supplies us with fire wood every year that he cuts and splits from his land so our heat is essentially free.
The kids and I are off to the Ford dealership today. Looks like I am buying a minivan. I love my Taurus, it’s been so good to me but we don’t all fit in it anymore. I’ve been corresponding with a salesman through email, gotta love the internet, and now it’s a matter of final negotiation and filling out the paperwork. The hard part is taking all 4 kids with me but Jeff is gone hunting for the weekend and since I am the babysitter, I don’t have one. LOL It’s very hard to find someone that will watch 4 kids as young as mine are.
Well, I’d better go get in the shower so we can get going on our day. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Good luck buying the car!! Sounds like fun. I’d love a new one. Happy Weekend!
Hi Julie, So nice to hear from you. We still play tennis for fun everyweek and we do lots of "field trips" together. Monday we are going to a casino to have lunch. How interesting about your woodstove…we have a fireplace here and only use 1/4 of a cord of wood for the winter. We don’t have that many cold days. Good luck with the minivan! xxx

Wow, how exciting! A new car! Mini vans are nice, if you don’t mind that its a mini van *snort* we have a 2002 Dodge Caravan and its ok. But I admit I look forward to my 4 growing up so I can zip around in a convertable LOL
Hugs!
