What A Day - Already
I didn’t sleep very well last night because it was so hot and stuffy in our house. We went from 20 degree weather to 60 degree weather literally overnight. It sucked. I tossed and turned most of the night and was totally awake from 3am - 4am. Then the fun began.
The dog started barking at the cat. I got the 2 of them separated after 15 minutes of fun trying to actually catch the dog. He thinks its so funny to play tag in the middle of the night. I don’t.
45 minutes later the alarm went off at 5am. I’m watching my grandson for my sd and she works 6am-6pm Monday-Friday so she has to drop him off a little after 5am. I got him right back to sleep, went to crawl back in bed for another hour or so before I had to get the school kids up, and my 2yo started crying.
Get her out of bed and bring her in with me, silently willing her “just go back to sleep so I can rest for a little while longer.” Well she must have been hot too because she tossed and turned and tossed and turned for a good 30 minutes before I jumped out of bed in irritated frustration and went to take a shower. Oh and I almost forgot that the baby woke up once in the middle of all this fun because he lost his pacifier. I put the plug back in and he went back to dream land.
Until I got out of the shower and heard voices and noise coming from the kitchen where the baby swing is. Oh great. I go out there and my 2yo is chatting away with the baby, who is fully awake at this point, and sticking her hands in the cat food bag:
“I’m feedin the cats Mommy. I’m feedin the cats.”
Indeed. I’m sure they are ecstatic to be able to eat it all directly off the floor instead of actually having to eat out of their food dish. *sigh*
I feel like I’ve already put in a full day and it’s only 8am. Coffee anyone?

What an awful morning! I hope the rest of the day goes smoothly.
