What A Day For A Daydream

July 18, 2004 |

:cld: I don’t know why I chose that title - that was just running through my head at the time. See what long term sleep deprivation does to you? LOL On that front Lauren did sleep through the night last night for the first time in a week. I imagine it’s just teething because some days she’s just as ugly while she’s wide awake as she is when she’s trying to sleep (or not as may be the case). All four of her molars are popping through and I guess I should be glad that it’s all happening at once. Of my 4 children, she is by far the worst one.

We are going to my mil’s for a cookout today and I am so not looking forward to it. She is not a pleasant person to begin with. A cookout will mean she will guilt my husband into doing all the cooking while my daughter crawls around on filthy floors getting dirt and pet hair all over herself and we will be served on plates that have had maggots crawling on them (I’ve seen them before) and have to use utensils that have pet hair stuck to them. Yummy! This meal should help my diet immensely ;)

I am highly frustrated with the computers in this house and just want to let my commenters know that it may be days before I can reply. I am on my dh’s computer right now as it is the only fully functional machine we have and he’s still sleeping. The wifi card for the laptop is acting up so that after maybe 10-15 minutes on the Net it just won’t connect to the network at all anymore. And my desktop that I do all of my work on has a monitor that works only intermittently. 3 computers in the house and I can’t get anything done on any but Jeff’s and he wants to hog it all the time. LOL

One last note about the camping trip and the cost at the campground. Yes, I know that state parks cost much less than “resort” campgrounds. I’ve stayed at many state parks myself. There isn’t one where we are vacationing as it is a resort area. Also the site is $33 a night with additional charge because of how many of us there are. We also get 2 playgrounds, a swimming pool, mini golf, free hot showers, a fish pond etc. A bit more for the kids than you’ll find at a state park. And a lot cheaper than a hotel room in this same town that would run us $175 a night. Just thought I’d point that out :)

Have a great Sunday!
