*UPDATE BELOW*

Well I have another crazy Friday on deck this week. I’m going to have 6 kids for most of the day and then the number will be up to 10 by 3pm. My daughter has already called from school to tell me that there is a Memorial Day Parade today at 10:30am and she really wants me to be there. Which will mean dragging all 6 kids along and getting them to stay on the side of the road and not run out into the middle of the parade when they see Olivia. My son has also called to ask me to bring in his papers that he forgot to pack in the mad rush this morning.

How long until beer-thirty?

Update - We went to the kids Memorial Day parade this morning and on the way back to the school Olivia’s kindergarten teacher ran over to me.

KT - “I’m so glad I saw you here I have to tell someone about Olivia.”

Jules - “Oh?”

KT - “Yeah, we’re doing the end-of-the-year testing to assess the students reading skills. We like to see the kids at a strong level 3, beginning level 4 readers before they enter 1st grade.”

Jules - “Uh huh.”

KT - “Well Olivia was a level 4 in January and now…” He pauses here for dramatic effect - I’m not kidding. “Now we’re at level 12 and we’re not done. She’s still going strong. We’ve never had a kindergartner test this high - ever. It’s so exciting.”

Jules - “Wow, I’m not surprised though because she reads all the time at home. She’s even made me promise to take her to the library over the summer.” And she has - she asked me last week.

KT - “I decided to give her a break from all this testing but I’ll be excited to see how much higher we can go. I’ll let you know the final results.”

I am so proud of her I cannot even begin to describe how much.

I always knew she was just like me ;)
