You Do All That?

My husband left today for hunting camp. He took my son, they’re meeting my brother-in-law and they’ll be gone for four or five days. At first I was giddy with the idea of being on light duty around the house. Let’s face it. The boys make a lot of mess. I enjoy the break.

Then it occurred to me.

Who’s going to take care of Olivia after school?

Who’s going to pick the girls up from daycare?

Who’s going to to pick Elizabeth up from preschool?

Who’s going to take the boys to martial arts?

Damn - I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me the next couple of days figuring out a substitute. One thing I know though. When my husband calls to check in tonight, I’m going to thank him for all he does. I didn’t know how much I relied on his for. But I really do appreciate it. And now I know I need him to hear it too.

Thanks Jeff - you rock :)

Isn’t it funny how it takes an absence to see things like that?
